It is not the desire of God; for any man to perish
or live in poverty, sickness and defeat. He did not redeem us by the blood of
His precious Son to be ridiculed again by satanic bondages and afflictions. The
Lord Jesus, in one of His sermons gave a parable about the
kingdom of God. This
proverb is analogous to what happens to some of us who, though redeemed still
live in the captivity of the devil. Jesus said:
But
while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his
way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared
the tares also.
Matthew
13:25-26
The
enemy could sow tares in the field because those tasked with the duty of
watching over the field were busy sleeping.
Many
believers are today under satanic bondages, living far below what God created them to be,
not because it is His will for them, but because they failed to take the
responsibility of watching over their lives in the place of prayer.
Whatsoever
the Devil introduces into a believer’s life is a corruption of God’s original
plan. All sickness, failure, poverty, and the threat of death around your life
are tares sown by the enemy - the devil.
You
need to understand that from the day you gave your life to Jesus, you became a
brand new person with an incorruptible nature (1Peter 1:23). You were fully
equipped with power and authority to take charge here on earth.
You
may ask, why then is my life like this? Jesus said, “…while men slept, his enemy came
and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”
Your
life is a field which the Lord has blessed (Genesis 27:27). Every blessed field
attracts the devil. The devil does not want to see the will of God done in your
life and he is not ready to quit. You must wake up to stop him. The weed must
not grow with the wheat. Wake up!
