And
it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy:
who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou
wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him,
saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
Luke
5:12-13
Many sick folks think their sickness
is too grievous or too terrible for the Master to heal and some have even decided
that the damage done to their skin by diseases is beyond repairs. In
conclusion, they say ‘there’s nothing Jesus can do, let’s not bother Him
because He may not want to waste His precious time on us’.
These could have been the thought of the
Leper in the Scripture above because his leprosy was an unusual one. It was not
on a particular part of his body but on the entire body – he was “full
of leprosy”. Though the Leper was not certain whether Jesus will have
time for him because of his hopeless situation, but even in his indecision, he
summoned courage to negotiate with the Lord first to know if He would heal him
seeing his awful look. The Lord Jesus demonstrated His eternal love and
willingness to healing those who are afflicted with diseases by touching him “saying
I will, be thou clean”.
Friends, no disease is too horrible that
Jesus would not cure; no wound is too stinky that He will not touch and heal
and no situation is terrible enough for Him to overlook. He is ever willing and
committed to healing and cleansing as many as will run to Him in faith.
Having
sicknesses and diseases is contrary to the Word of God that has gone forth
concerning your life as a believer. You must acknowledge this truth and wake up
for the Word to have it course in your life. See yourself healed and not as
someone that is going to be healed nor as someone that is looking for healing.
You’ve been healed. Praise God!
